Way to Indochina Heritages

Indochina is one of the most wonderful plains of historic and religious heritages in Asia. With our Way to Indochina Heritages Tours, we will bring you the best of Indochina, from the French colonial and solemn buildings in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, beautiful views in Halong Bay to the greatest Angkor Complex, and the ancient city Angkor Thom as well as the famous That Luang in Laos. All of those will make you 14 days with us the most marvelous.


Day 1: Hanoi Arrival

You will be welcome at Noi Bai Airport and transferred to the hotel (the rooms are at your disposal from 14:00) for relax. After freshen up, in the evening, enjoy a welcome dinner in a traditional local restaurant.

Day 2: Hanoi city tour

After breakfast at the hotel, you will enjoy a city tour of Hanoi with the Ho Chi Minh Complex, walking on the historic Ba Dinh Square then proceed to the Temple of Literature – the first university of Vietnam. After the lunchtime, continue to visit the Ethnology Museum where exhibits a huge collection of 54 ethnic minorities of Vietnam. In the late afternoon, enjoy a traditional Water Puppet show before transferred back to your hotel. Overnight in Hanoi.

Day 3: Hanoi - Halong Bay

In the morning, a car will take us to Halong Bay – one of World’s Seven Wonders, by passing the countryside of Vietnam. When arrive, you will join in an overnight cruise on a traditional junk. Enjoy the cool wind, the emerald water and the beauty of about 2,000 limestone caves and grottoes while seafood meals are being served. Taking part in interesting activities like swimming, kayaking, caves exploring or just lying on the sundeck and enjoys the light of the sun blending with wonderful views of Halong Bay.

Day 4: Halong Bay - Hue

Continue exploring Halong Bay on your cruise. Travel through islets and islands with funny names and strange shapes. After brunch, we will come back to Hanoi for an onward flight to Hue. Upon arrival, met up and transferred by guide and driver to your hotel. Overnight in Hue.

Day 5: Hue City tour

Hue is the ancient capital of Vietnam under the reign of Nguyen’s dynasty which was the last feudal regime of Vietnam. A city tour of the Imperial Citadel will open your new day in Hue. The Imperial Citadel, built in 1805 and accomplished in 1832, is the main part of Hue Citadel with a thick surrounding wall and three- entrance gates. Inside the Citadel, you can see many buildings with the Chinese name plates and all of them were built to serve the king and his families. Then proceed to the Emperors Tombs of Nguyen Lords such as Khai Dinh and Tu Duc Tombs. End the day in the sunset on the Perfume River.

Day 6: Hue - Hoi An

A morning drive will take you to Hoi An by passing the beautiful coastal road and Hai Van Pass. On the way, enjoy the beach with coconut ranges, cool wind, and blue sea. Then visit the Cham Museum and experience the Cham custom, life and traditional festivals before proceed to Hoi An which was once the busiest commercial port of Vietnam. Walking around the old town to see the Japanese Bridge, Ong Pagoda and China Assembly Halls.

Day 7: Hoi An - Ho Chi Minh City

Free to discover Hoi An in the morning then you will be transferred to Danang Airport for flight to Ho Chi Minh City.

Day 8: Ho Chi Minh - Cu Chi Tunnels

Start your city tour in the busiest city of Vietnam with the War Remnants Museum, the Reunification Palace and the Notre Dame Cathedral. After the lunch, heading to Cu Chi Tunnels which was a masterpiece of the Vietnamese people during the Vietnam War. This tunnel is the hiding place for Vietnamese soldiers, help them escape the chase of the enemies and protect from bombs. Back to the hotel and stay overnight.

Day 9: Ho Chi Minh City - Mekong Delta

Our tour guide and driver will pick you up at your hotel in Ho Chi Minh City and depart for My Tho, enjoy the scenic journey along the National Highway bordered by green rice fields, stopping to see how the rice is cultivated and taking pictures of the rice farms in the Mekong River Delta. On arrival at My Tho, take a leisurely boat trip to Tortoise Island. Then disembark and go for a gentle stroll through the picturesque orchards and fruit garden. In the afternoon, enjoy lunch on the island, then proceed to Tan Thach natural canal in Ben Tre, return to the water for a relaxing rowing boat ride along a small canal, cruising in the shade of the water coconut trees. Learn about bee-keeping in the delta and sip a refreshing cup of honey tea to the accompaniment of traditional Vietnamese folk music. Afterward, travel the narrow rural road by horse and cart to visit the coconut candy mill to find out how this delicious confectionery is made and sample the finished product. In late afternoon, return by boat to My Tho and drive back to Saigon. The tour ends at your hotel in Ho Chi Minh City.

Day 10: Ho Chi Minh City - Siem Reap

You are free at your leisure until transfer to the airport for flight to Siem Reap. Welcome on arrival and transfer to your hotel to check in. Room is at your disposal from 14:00 onwards. Meals on your own. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 11: Ta Prohm - Angkor Wat - Angkor Thom

Have an early breakfast at hotel then visit the picturesque Ta Prohm that had nearly disappeared into the jungle and remains overgrown, an oddly haunting and exotic scene. The magnificent roots of a tree, pushing between the huge stone blocks of the temple in a sort of embrace, evoke feelings that you may remember forever. Then continue to visit the intricately carved Khmer ruins at Angkor Wat – one of the world’s most impressive ruins. The temple still owns fine Apsara carvings in Angkorian era art. At 09am come back to hotel for breakfast and after a short rest, continue exploring the mysterious Royal city Angkor Thom City & Bayon. Its 54-tower temple is an awesome sight. At first glance it seems a shapeless mass of stone, but further scrutiny reveals a face, and then another and another until suddenly you are engulfed by the silent, heavy, enigmatic and silent gaze through half-closed eyes, staring out from a primitive and remote time. Further, visit to the surroundings of the complex including the Baphoun, Elephant Terraces, Lepper King Terrace and Royal Place area and visit one more ruin in Angkor Area of Preah Khan temple, built in 12th century by King Jayavarman VII and it is the same style to Ta Prom Temple. Meals on your own. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 12: Floating Village on Tonle Sap Lake

Breakfast at hotel and then drive for about 1 hour to Kampong Phluk Floating Village. Kampong Phluk is a permanent settlement on the Tonle Sap Lake with a small land based village attached to it. Its remarkable mangrove forest is unique in the Siem Reap area. You will board a local boat and cruise the waterways observing the authentic and diverse lifestyle of the local floating community. Disembark at a traditional house on stilts where a catered lunch is set up for you. Admire the simple, yet fascinating lifestyle and interact with your host to learn more about living on the water. Transfer back your hotel with remainder of day free at your leisure. Dinner on your own. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 13: Siem Reap - Luang Prabang - City Tour

Depart for your flight to Luang Prabang, a former capital city and now a UNESCO World Heritage site. Located in northern Laos, at the confluence of the Mekong and Nam Khan rivers, this sacred city boasts golden-roofed wats, saffron robed monks and remnants of French colonial architecture. After a big warm welcome, our guide will pick up & transfer you to hotel for check-in. Then, visit to the Royal Palace Museum, which hosts a range of interesting artifacts. We then head to the magnificent Wat Xiengthong with its roofs sweeping low to the ground, which represents classical Laotian architecture. We also have time to visit the impressive stupa of Wat Visoun and the shrines of Wat Aham and Wat Mai.

Day 14: Luang Prabang - Pak Ou Cave - Ban Xang Khong

After breakfast, we enjoy a cruise upstream on the Mekong River, which also gives us a beautiful view of the tranquil countryside as well as an interesting visit to the mysterious of Pak Ou Caves, crammed with thousands of gold lacquered Buddha statues of various shapes and sizes. Along the way, we stop at the village of Ban Xanghai, where they make the distillation of local rice wine. On return, we take a short drive to Ban Xang Khong, well known for its hand weaving. Drive back to Luang Prabang for overnight. Dinner on your own. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 15: Kuang Si Waterfall - Black H'Mong Village

Driving to the beautiful Kuang Si Waterfall where you can chill with a refreshing swim in the turquoise pools or a walk along the forest trails. Have picnic lunch near the waterfall and enjoy the pleasant air there before driving back to Luang Prabang. On return, short stop at Black Hmong Village, where hill tribe hand-made handicrafts as souvenirs for visitors pass by. Return the city with remainder of day freely at your leisure. Dinner on your own. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 16: Luang Prabang - Departure

You are free at your leisure until transfer to the airport for your departure flight. Room is at your disposal until 12:00 noon only. Meals on your own. End of services.
